I think the story would be better if it removed the whole "died and went to past" because it serves no purpose and it just make it harder for the reader to forgive the seme.
I mean, he doesn't use any knowledge of the future to do absolutely nothing, it's completely useless to the story.

This ending is so abrupt and weird... it wasn't organical at all. So many questions left unanswered.

I think it's assumed that royalty is known but the only people who can see his face would be people high up in society and live nearby. Though this was an emperor who should have recognition cause he fought in wars which mean he must have some interaction with normal soldiers, I just really doubt that saying the king is a tall blonde with blue eyes going to be immediately recognized.
