Mannnnn , so after all that , he went back to him ? Like imma need someone to explain the ending to me . Smh

the easiest way to put it is that kyung soo believes that he is so deeply damaged that there is no one in the world for him but yule. being with someone normal like dong hyuk only results in that person being tormented, and kyung soo cant inflict that on another person. he doesnt love yule, it’s just his only option. as he mentions in one chapter, yule will forever make his life hard, so he just chooses the option that hurts the least. realistically i believe he wants dong hyuk, but watching him turn from a cheerful, silly guy into someone who is traumatized and willing to kill someone made kyung soo so full of guilt and self-hatred that he knew he had to leave for dong hyuk’s own good. kyung soo also cant live apart from yule knowing that any person he approaches for the rest of his life is at risk of being put through the same psychological torture as dong hyuk. yule and kyung soo have a mutually assured destruction. if kyung soo leaves yule, kyung soo will forever live a horrible life and yule will literally die. if yule leaves kyung soo, kyung soo will be alone and drive himself insane with paranoia and untreated trauma. and also as long as kyung soo can pretend and search for the good times with yule, he can find some amount of comfort in their relationship.

i do really like dark stories from the psychological horror perspective. if i had to recommend some (some r pretty tame with just a few dark aspects and some are verrry eugh):
color recipe by harada
gomen shitatte yurusanai by hakase
the servant by manmandoo
lost in the cloud kim pas
ogeha by oimo (not BL)
suimenka by harada
hikizuru oto by harada
i wanted to be hurt by love by shiruka bakaudon (not BL)
chew and swallow by gawee
deichuu no hasu by tamekou
sankaku opera by kuraka sui
camellia by minami kiriko
sabi no yume by kuma yoyoyo
these arent in any specific order and are only the few i can find right now. i lost my old reading list which definitely had a lot more ): they also aren’t exactly like this manhwa, but theyre good if you want to read more dark, upsetting stuff

This is such a stellar breakdown of this story! It really should be a pinned explanation at the top of the comments. I understand why this story gets so much hate, but I really think a lot of the haters miss the point. This isn't a love story and it's not intended to resemble a romance. I think Aeju wants to pull readers down into the darkest parts of human experience and emotion with most of what she writes. I tend to think of her in the same way I think of Harada. This is definitely not a story for most people, and as much as I like a dark story, I had some serious trouble getting all the way through this title. But still, for those of us who like to get emotionally damaged by fiction from time to time, this is top tier devastating and disturbing fiction.

of these:
color recipe by harada (um… kind of? kind of not?)
gomen shitatte yurusanai by hakase (yes)
the servant by manmandoo (yes)
lost in the cloud kim pas (not finished)
ogeha by oimo (not BL) (yes)
suimenka by harada (no)
hikizuru oto by harada (no)
i wanted to be hurt by love by shiruka bakaudon (not BL) (not finished)
chew and swallow by gawee (yes)
deichuu no hasu by tamekou (yes but in a fucked up way)
sankaku opera by kuraka sui (not really?)
camellia by minami kiriko (no)
sabi no yume by kuma yoyoyo (i dont think its finished but the rest of the chapters are probably online)

someone help me to understand what I just read please

ig this book is a collection of one shots from different authors but we only got this one and it's about a male prostitute who's in love with his client who doesn't make love to him, turns out that client is impotent or smth and when they finally learned of each others feelings the client took him away from the brothel and they live happily ever after. maybe.
I only hate that it was so short , but I liked it
