yes! unlike the more public opinion on him, the past cannot justify one's present actions today as if we do use that card, we will exempt him from any responsibility and need to reflect upon his actions/self betterment. Also, Bum, has many severe mental disorders and a very messed up childhood, yet the worse he does (ignoring Sangwoo's effect on him) is break into someone's home and stalk them. Still not good, obviously, but pales in comparison to Sangwoo.

Exactly, everyone is their own individual. Bum not becoming a seriel killer exactly proves my point. It is Sangwoo own individual self who chose to commit the heinious crimes that he did. I never belittled Sangwoo's struggles, but I am saying that saying its not his fault at all is completely incorrect because there is someone who went through the same/similar things yet made it out okay. I understand how difficult it is, and I am not downplaying the severity, what I am saying is that I'm tired of people treating Sangwoo as if he did nothing wrong. Or shifting the entire blame on his mother, who definately isn't a good person herself, but I feel it to be invalid to say that it was her fault that all those people died/got hurt at Sangwoo's hand since, though she did play a part I will not deny that, she isn't the one who did such things. I never asked that Sangwoo help Bum, nor did i say I expected him to be able to better himself in an instant. What I am saying, though, is that saying "it is solely his upbringing/the nurture he recieved (or lack thereof) fault" is an argument I will never agree with. His past has let me empathise for him, truly, but doesn't justify his current actions.

Excuse me, I will read what I want the way I want, if I want to read Killing Stalking with the mindset I possess and express my opinion on it, I will. That being said, I respect your opinion and it's okay if you disagree with me, since this topic isn't black and white and everyone has their own ideals and beliefs.

I think you've misunderstood something, which is partly my fault for failing to clarify it and I completely understand why you reached the conclusion you have but I don't hate Killing Stalking, I actually really enjoyed reading it. I just dislike the character (but Sangwoo IS nicely written, but I'm saying I dislike him as a person), not the manhwa. I think it was a beautifully written story. The way I read it was with the mindset it was a psychological thriller which happened to include a homosexual relationship.

That being said, I still disagree with the latter part of your statement. The comments are for expressing opinions, negative or posiitive, no one has the right to say that someone's opinion/critisism is invalid unless they want to have a conversation of some kind, like we are doing now. Just because lots of people idolize Sangwoo doesn't mean I am not allowed to express my opinion that he is shit! Just because rape is glorified, do you think it makes it is wrong for people to be like "hold up, rape isn't good at all, I would like the other party (the abuser) to apologise to the MC (assuming the MC isn't the rapist)" they are allowed to do this because no one has the right to dictate what the comment section contains! But, it is true that reading something KNOWING you'll dislike it is quite a... for lack of better word... strange thing to do.

Okay... let me explain. My friend reccommend this to me, that was the first time I visited mangago so I didn't think to check the comments nor did I have an account so I wasn't aware of the fandom. And also, my other motive was that I enjoyed it! My motive to complain (which I have repeated several times during this comment, but why not again?) is because I was ASKED this by the orginal poster and you were the one who defended your point, with directly replying to mine, so I replied obviously, stating my opinion.

Let me ask you:

Why did you reply to me if you clearly aren't ready to accept any negative feedback towards the points you made when I clearly was differing in opinion?
