was gonna be my comment too today but it ended up being overshadowed when it really just hit home: wooooow. I kind feel bad for mielle and mc. mielle is the most vivid representation of a "puppet" I've seen in quiet some time and its just kind of hit home on this chapter just HOW much of a pure puppet w/no real thoughts of her own she is. and then its like "O man! girl don't even bother w/her! in the end you're just fighting a puppet and when you win....big deal - you beat up a puppet." but its not like if she stops, Mielle will suddenly get an agency of her own and stop too. if she wants to live she has no choice but to accept her role as "puppet slayer". *sigh* Shakespeare wins again. It's the Maid Emma that had been influencing her the whole time and she's a mother figure to Mielle so it would be difficult to separate them and educate Mielle from A to Z. The whole family had a sense of elitism from the very beginning, especially the dad playing favourites.
They hated our Mc and mom from the get-go.

sorry to say but Mielle is still a bitch with the will to hurt others to get her way so...not really just a "puppet". she still not less evil than Aria was just dumber since she can't do shit by herself. and I don't feel bad for her at all, she asks for her end and that's about it. her view on the "poor people" is just twisted and disgusting to say the lest and she willing to murder her own sister to get favors.
Like walking down your hall and finding one of your roommates wrapped one of the pictures on the wall in clown paper. its not a big picture, its not a main piece picture and its not like they wrapped the whole wall just to mess w/you. its just a random bit of weirdness. they had a random thought, decided to actually go through w/it and then walked away once it was done. you can't even say WTF because its not a big enough deal to warrant it. but like - the more its NOT a big deal the more WEIRD it seems!

with this damm story soon if they don't STOP jerking us along!!!! I get it that you feel accomplished for coming up w/a good story piece that has our attention. Accept the audience's engagement for what it is and MOVE ON! dragging it out and out and OUT is just TIRESOME and ANNOYING! ARRRGH!! when a story just squats over a single story point it just starts feeling like one of those fucking daytime Soap's that have a random character in a coma for a trillion fucking years but keep jerking the audience over to see them DOING NOTHING at least once an episode just to remind you that "hey! don't forget this character is here.....still doing nothing. .....but here!" AAAAAAA!!!
what I'm trying to say is: Please - kindly. Get. To. The. Point.
but I'm really happy with the pacing on this story. it slows down for "momentous" moments but doesn't just try to draaaaag it out for the sack of dragging it out and it keeps a pretty brisk believable pace w/the characters and their stories/lives. AWESOME!! <3
hoping the prince is actually being sincere cause it sounds super sincere. I hope he isn't doing it for her because so far he is doing it right by making it clear that he won't push her to accept him and will be happy if all she can do is accept his apology. he's doing GOOD! I hope he's changing for himself because ultimately it DOES hurt when people you felt you were close to suddenly hold up a mirror and maybe you don't like what you see. even if you're just changing so that you can be the person you want to be there's NOTHING wrong w/that! go for it buddy! you're the one who has to live w/you <3
