The plot sucks but I'm so desperate for an ML who is not a man child that I will eat this up so good. Like he immediately put down rules, says he respects her, will consult her, even if he was thinking she might be a spy, he didn't outright be mean to her. He communicates even if he is akaward. I can't believe how low the standards are. Like man who acts like a decent human being is so rare in these type of stories that I just love it. Also the babies are so dam cute.

I actually appreciate simple plots like this. He wasn't outright mean like you said, even though there was some distrust there, but he's gradually learning to as time goes on. And eventually fall in love I guess. What I want to know is what the deal with with the mom? Is she trying to prevent him from being himself cause it was said that he liked different things than what he mentioned.

I feel your pain friend. Try Daisy: How to Become the Duke's Fiancée it is both manga and book. The ML treated the FL as a human and not property (dad tried to sell) and I was already surprised. Then he proceeded to treat her as an equal, communicate (ask questions instead of allowing misunderstandings), ask for consent....continuously. He got me yo he is a rare fucking treasure. Why can't we have more like him (╥_╥)

Oh, I actually skipped it bc of the art and I thought it would be one of those cheesy bad Chinese CEO abusive ML stories and was not in the mood for trash.
It is pretty long (if I saw the correct one) so I like that. You convinced me to look at it and read. I can't believe my standards are "treat women as humans, ask consent & communicate" and still like 90% of what I read cannot fulfill these conditions properly.

I understand what you mean. I think I said it little more harsher than I actually meant. Sometimes simple is nice. I found the overall plot to being quite boring but I love the characters and dynamic. Everything else was belov average in my opinion. This might also change when I reread this. Maybe I just wasn't on the mood or the problem is the translation. I have noticed it makes a huge difference.
Also yes, I'm also curious about the mom. Honestly the translation is not the best but you can still get a weird vibe from how they are drawn. I'm maybe thinking that the ML is trying to hard to be like his brother and lost his own identity and the mom is being partly harsh because something related to it.

NGL art could be better but despite what weird things the artist did to his face he is still just so good I can't not love him. I haven't decided wether fo finish the manga or book. If I could smash the ML's soul into his butler's body I would have my ultimate bias. Granted both boys are good in different ways. I love them both

Can someone convince me to continue this? Like I read about 7 chapters but the gas mask dude is getting on my nerves. He isn't even charming, he is just a little brat who should get kicked in the head, hopefully getting some functioning brain. Great idea my dude. Let's harass this random man and he will totally confess that he is what? Evil? A awakened? He is just having a fit bc there was someone of equal strengh and his fragile ego can't handle that he isn't the best in the world.
Probably author didn't intend it to come across like that but honestly at this point it doesn't matter. If your secondary main comes off as an pure asshole and you don't want him & MC to hate their guts and eventually kill each other, show some redeeming qualities or make their personality have something more than "annoying egotistical brat with power drip issues"

He’s not having a fit about anything, you’re reading his character completely wrong like down to the bone. But that’s partially due to the manwha not having their personal thoughts like in the novel, which goes into depth about their feelings and objectives.
Not spoil too much, but Lee Sa-young, the male lead, doesn’t give two shits about the ranking system. That is literally the least of his worries. He doesn’t about care anything of what you stated either. Our man wants cares about one thing and that’s finding J by any means necessary. Which is due to a very personal history between them, that’s actually incredibly sad.

Spoilers
I’ve seen folks spoiling the book all over but basically MC saved the male lead. Sa-young(ML) was discovered in essentially a poisonous death trap, MC saved him and brought him to a hospital, where MC completely funded his treatment. I don’t know how long they knew it each other but it was enough for them to grow attach to one another. MC sees the ML like a little brother, ML does not at all share that same sentiment.
So once MC fucked off to the West Sea Rift, the money stopped flowing and the doctors couldn’t keep up with the ML treatment. But sadly someone evil took over the ML treatment which eventually lead him to awakening.
After that the ML dedicated his life to finding J, no matter what.
I skipped over alot but had to

Then I'm chucking it on manhwa author not doing a good job. If I need novel to like a person that's ehh. I might read up to chapter 14 and if he still is his asshole era I will just drop or go and read the novel. I honestly don't have energy. And sure he is trying to find J. If he thinks this person might be J does he think annoying the shit out of them will lead to good conclusion? His methods are not giving a feel of someone who does anything possible to find someone so far.

I agree with multiple comments. I barely got pass the first chapter. I hate the system already. If you gonna make MC-System Banter you gotta balance it. Not just make MC be forcefully dragged into something he doesn't wanna do. He wanted to do music for himself and not others. Fans were pissed that he wasn't being their little doll so the system was sent to punish him for... Idk doing what he wants... If that is not the intention then the writer or author did really bad job at giving a tone with this story. I'm sorry but I don't really care about seeing punishment & restriction without clear want. If the MC was hoping to do things again, differently, then I would understand the whole system thing little more.

I think whoever made this hates women. Like you can make female characters be strong and all but you don't need to make them insufferable. Like honestly. The author should check on them. It's hidden under a thin veil but this type of misogynistic character writing is what I hate. God. The MC is pretty alright. I like the concept but there is just couple things annoying. And it's not like I haven't read stories where misogyny is a thing but like... At least make the characters bearable and handle it with some care. C'moon?

It's so raw. The way this affects everyone around them. It's not easy. This is why sex-ed needs to be thorougly taught at school starting at age 14. Even before actually, but the consequences about sex from about that. These children now need to figure out everything on their own since their parents put their own ego & reputation above their child's well being. You need to slowly talk and figure these things out with your parents.
I was reading comments and I'm kind of disappointed by lot of people. If one of your friend got pregnant at 16-17 would you tell them they are an idiot for keeping it and stop being their friend? Because they had sex and you think it's wrong? I know teenagers are stupid but I know for a fact I would have never done it. But I do live in a country where we get pretty good sex education that is comprehensive, starting at age 11.
Anyways. It's middle of the night. I just wanted to let my thoughts out. These children need some support and it's incredibly sad how this seems to be common in many cultures. You see it lot in manga. Having a child when young and being unmarried is seen in same level. Both are something that ruins your reputation, possibly makes your family abandon you. Because you made a choise they didn't accept. Leading to poverty and in the end more bad choises.

I kinda knew there was need to be romance, she will obviously become a noble again for some reason but I kinda wanted her to stay as a commoner and as a maid way longer and focus on other relationships and not romance. I'm kinda sad. Also her being constantly blushy blushy awkward cutie little thing is getting on my nerves. I know manga loves that trope in FLs but honestly I just cringe everytime. Maybe I'm just doomed since this type of romance makes me want to vomit
I wanted to continue this but I can't
She is just so fucking annoying. Like I would rather delete her from the story. She doesn't add anything of the value. If she died while protecting the mc she would be more useful like that. Well I guess she is strong but in the end she is just a spoiled brat who throws a tantrum bc she cant have what she wants.
