Can anyone give me a better summary? Or tell me if it's worth the read?

i think it’s worth it! it’s one of my favorites so far because it doesn’t include too much unnecessary drama, just a few funny misunderstandings so far. basically the FL was the princess/illegitimate daughter of a king, who essentially sold/bargained her to a greasy noble who sold out their country to the ML’s empire. because her husband didn’t care about what happened to her, she is taken to the ML’s empire as a slave (which she had been previously before the king took her in for being his illegitimate daughter). because she was a slave before, and she hated her life as a princess because she was mistreated and abused, she actually feels more at peace being a slave/working in the empire.
because of her previous life, and her time as a slave in a medical bay (whatever it’s called) she has extensive knowledge on medicinal herbs and remedies and is discovered by the head/director of the medical bay in the empire when she cleans a storage room full of herbs and perfectly categorizes them based on what they are. after this, the director takes her in and has her begin writing a book of sorts on herbs and things like that.
idk how much of a summary you wanted, but after this our FL crosses paths with the ML again when she saves his horse from some poisonous herbs he ate, and as he realizes her usefulness (and i think just generally finds her interesting) he takes her along on a year long campaign he has to do around the empire. he treats her pretty well, she’s basically one of his personal attendants. and so ensues a cute slow burn romance for the both of them!
so far, he’s realized his feelings for her, but alas, she thinks he’s gay!! oh well, we’ll get there eventually.
