I don't think comparing this history do BL is a very good argument. These days you can find smut heavy BL that isn't problematic, and people DO complain about it when it is. However, femdom stuff is different. Could you list some of them that aren't Sadistic Beauty, S Flowers or No Holes Barred (which isn't a femdom webtoon anyways in my opinion).
Other than those 3, Tsumi to kai (I don't even know how to start to talk about this this one), Let's Try SM With Me! And then comparing it to all the yaoi published isn't a good comparison because there are more yaoi updates per day on this site than there are long-running femdon stories as a whole.

Tags arent always clear when mangas are first released, some people arent aware of rape - thus they read something they dont like without knowing until it happens.
