same father of her first kid. i think the emperor is infertile according to the comments. i skipped chapters when i found out trashta was pregnant to chapter 80 where the remarriage happens. the empress seems to be infertile too(hence the divorce) but since she got pregnant with heinley's child (comments) it seems that it was a plot, most likely by trashta

From what i remember from a spoiler I read and I'm not 100% sure so take it with a grain of salt. It's true that the emperor and queen is infertile but it was not a ploy by Trashta. I believe it was the emperor's mother who gave the queen cookies at a young age that had some kind of infertility medicine laced into it and the emperor ate it too (by accident tho i dunno lol), or something along that line. The reason the queen gets pregnant is because she and Heinley do it on a magical bed (they do it a lot lol queens a beast in the bed). The emperor at the young age discovers about the infertility medicine and believes that he is not affected by it but only the queen and that is kind of why he brings Trashta to be his concubine in order to have a kid (but that goes downhill). He never told the queen about the cookies but made the rash decision on his own believing that the queen will forever be by his side. Basically, communication people, communication is the key to a healthy relationship lol.
