I don’t think the author is “reclycing the plot” but is more creating parallels in scenes to cover both sides of the spectrum (ex; they had both gotten excited to see the person they hated getting beat up only to find their S.O was also involved, etc.)

I couldnt agree more I saw the anime years ago and got reminded of it by the opening today after a long time so I read the manga from ch 170 because I wanted to see if nisaka was there and honestly I cried by how they didn’t end up together he’s so precious
