Tbh both of them are horrible but I think Danqing is better than bailing. Bailing had a better childhood even though it was far from perfect with that kind of father. He may have gotten beaten because he didn’t live up to perfect standards but he didn’t have much to worry for other than the throne. But he was never a illegitimate child hanging on the balance of life and death assassins and poisonings as daily life as a young child. Also with only on person in the world caring enough to bring you from that point of death. They both obviously have psychological scars from the way they grew up. But Bailing had a more stable childhood so his are not that deep. But Danqings are very deep and have put a shadow on his view of the world and other people. Even though both of them don’t deserve XioaBei we should take to heart when deciding who to ship these factors. Plus forced oral sex plus attempted rape attempts is a little worse than just rape attempts. So that’s one area where Danqing is better. Plus there have been plenty of stories where the deme has raped the mc and they still live happily ever after.
