hmm not sure if it's just me or the missing chapter 6 but the chapters feel kind of episodic with the necessary transitions missing, like the story is kind of cut up?

guys, I just went back to the first chapter and whenever the maids are shown in flashbacks for example (there are only like 2 to begin with) their faces are black (in the shadows) and you can only make out their hairstyles but not a single facial feature...
My only guess at this point is that she was too young to live alone and they were her only social interaction in her entire life, so she probably just started imagining that they were there after they vanished... I mean who wouldn't go a little coo-coo crazy after they were left alone for 20 years of their life...
I think they might been around when she was super young but when she got older they all got kicked for helping her once or something and she had none from there on out.

I don't think the prince knows of her fathers' state. I do think that his assistant brought the monsters there, but her father probably just got out on his own and will wander right onto the battlefield...
