I feel like there’s way too much codependency in the relationship, especially in the human(?’s part. If you’re in a situation where you cannot love yourself or live for yourself and have to depend on other person to go on, that’s not ok, it’s toxic. People should NOT EVER romanticize this.

I think that's just your ideology on love. There are many different opinions on it. In this manhwa, they both need each other and that's described as love. They got toxic but I think that's how it should be as well. Love isn't really something normal and logical since its an obsession. They rely on each other to live on, to go on, to be able to breathe and not give up, isn't it just what love is? Well of course your opinion may differ but I don't think that this can't be romanticized ever (=・ω・=)

I like to think of this story as a healing journey. Two people on the fringes of society for different reasons find each other and grow a loving relationship. The story really only takes place over a year and a half. During this time their natures lead to lots of heart ache and turmoil but in the end they get over it and develop into healthy socially integrated and independent people who can then love each other in a healthier and fulfilling way. What's not to love about that?
