Yeah that’s a good theory, but it’s kinda confusing bc he keeps calling mc pretty and her skin clear when that’s exactly what he looks like but even better! So it’s probably psychological in a supernatural way through hallucination.

I mean, this is just me guessing, but maybe it's some kind of beauty and the beast kind of curse? But instead of other person loving him no matter how he look, he have to love himself and accept love regardless of his aperance. There must be a reason why he is so focused on his apperance even when he wear a mask. The MC is constantly saying she is not afraid of him and says she want to be there, but no matter what she said or do, he always focus on his looks. Not that any of this things is his fault, but I guess it's something he have to figure it out by himself. But again, it's just a guess.
