he lost his crush (the teacher) so he decided to just play along with sengho 'cause it felt good, and he doesnt believe that its possible that there's love between them - cause he already decided to treat their relationship just as a physical one
I also want to think that he was a bit high from the opium or whatever it was that they had been smokin there, and since he aint used to it, he could get drunk from it pretty quickly.
