I feel slightly bad because the mangaka seems very sincere about this work, but I also definitely was cackling while reading it.
Straight up reads like a BL, but every time they had a dramatic moment about the Plight of the Heterosexual I just couldn't help but start laughing.
I've read these kinds of scenes hundreds of times in the context of a BL and they're overall fine, but with the world building in this particular work I could not take them seriously. This is more of a me problem than anything wrong with the manga.
People have tried this concept before and it usually doesn't work, but I think the mangaka's beautiful art and overall sincerity about the topic makes it one of the better attempts. Kazusa and Ayumu are inoffensively cute, the plot is School Life BL standard, as a work it's Fine.
It gets a 10/10 from me though for making me cry laugh the whole way through lmfao.
