So for those of you who missed it and thinks that Tae Sung is sus well he def is. He be feeling guilty and scared that Soo Young is gonna find out that the reason his uncle was killed was bc of a power struggle/war of the gangs which involved Tae Sung. That time he was there and if I'm remembering it right there's a fight and Soo Young's uncle is a police?? and he got in between then he got killed. Tae Sung is feeling guilty over that and moreover when he found out that Soo Young is the nephew/kid that uncle is taking care of. So now it feels hard to say that he isn't hiding anything to soo young coz he def is. lol but who the hell won't you ain't even sure Soo young's gonna look at him the same wat when he finds out. So imagine his anxiety bruh. Tae Sung you need therapy. lol (●￣(ｴ)￣●)
ohhh okay, that makes sense as to why tae-seung was asking who his uncle was to him. i guess it was so he can see how much the truth might hurt soo-young.

Another spoiler-ishh thing which was also Hinted or Flashback-ed in the previous chapters were the time when Soo Young's uncle went to see him to inform him that he be going for a while because of work. After that months passed and his uncle came back dead
. I think his uncle's work involved investigating the korean Mafia and that time during his "work" soo young's uncle was caught up in the power struggle where Taesung is involved. He died and Tae sung knows that bc he was there when it happened.
Now notice that everytime Soo young mentions his uncle in front of soo young, Tae Sung Flinches and Darkens. It's coz he's afraid Soo young will find out that his beloved uncle died in Tae Sung's watch.
Another theory that's foreboding in the latest chapter. Remember that one of the big mafia leader that was kicked out to china during the previous gang war (where soo young's uncle is involved) came back to Korea bc of the Gang Power Balance tipping more to Tae Sung's side after he killed Kang-il? the one who stabbed Soo-young.
They mentioned that another gang war will be happening soon. And since Soo Young is Now Tae-Sung's "WEAKNESS" it is obvious Soo young's gonna get involved in it. Possibly a chance or an opportunity where he'll learn that he'd be going through the same situation where his uncle died in.
Since that Mafia Leader that came back from China knows Soo Young's uncle (saw him in the flashback in the prev chaps) coz he's also there during the power struggle maybe he'll be the one spilling the beans Tae Sung is trying so hard preventing.

In a different circumstance I would've been annoyed with the mc too. But looking at his "problem" I see that I am standing in the same shoes as him. I totally understand his actions and the reasons behind it and it is because of the love for his cat.

Just to share I have a cat and he's not particularly super healthy so I always worry he'd get sick bc he does that from time to time since he's a kitten. We're not well off and I got him while I was in university no job and only relying on my parent's money.They objected heavily on me rescuing him because I am still paying for my tuition and we cannot even feed ourselves. But I insisted always cried everynight and did everysingle thing I can like not eating just to save money and borrowing money from friends just so I could take him to the vets until he grows enough so that he's not that fragile anymore. And now I even fell out of love from someone I was together with for four years. Pandemic hit and none of us in my family has a job so I had to grind sidelines and beg fro work from others like doing simple things just to get paid so I can feed my cat. When I finally got a job I was paid so little I could barely sustain our bills our everyday expenses let alone my cat's food and emergency fund. I am so busy working two-three jobs that when my partner started asking me for time and he started to complain that not even sa single reply from me for three days straight. Yo I did not even hesitate to remove him from my life. I won't be entertaining distractions and those who're treating "my problem" as light. What I need is something that could feed my cat. and could always take him to the vet whenever he's sick. I'll dump even those who I've planned my future with. So I TOTALLY understand him, I totally get why he also does not want to talk to ML about it. Coz look at me I talked about it to the person whom I thought understands me the most only to have him make light of my problems for me. dude that sucks better yet grit you teeth even if it is humiliating do what's best for your cat. They're the ones that matters the most. And if your other half wouldn't be able to understand the depth of your care dump them right away those people don't deserve you

Currently he is fine but just three weeks ago he has trouble going. I always worry because I always make sure he drinks plenty of water and to soften up his kibbles before giving it to him. He's like a ticking time bomb sometimes he goes and blood would be on his litter so I am always on alert and goes on panic. That's why I always prepare myself bc if god forbid something would happen to my cat I don't think I can take it. :(((((

Well, technically he did not lie he did not say that he hated him but just left it unanswered. I can totally understand that tho coz dude you would also hesitate to tell him coz now he would ask you the big WHY. Which he isn't gonna tell coz they live in a different world and he also kinda insecure coz ML gets to keep his rescued dog and get him the best treatment and his parents aren't against it either whilst with our MC here always gets scolded by his parents by keeping his cat, is poor having troubles paying his own tuition and feeding his cat, now he is troubled bc he needed money bc what if his cat's condition gets worse? And now what let's say he tells it to the ML and now what ML will offer money to help? Not only it's a burden but now you owe something to somebody. Better yet to win that contest instead. And also one big factor is in the end they're gonna be rivals in the show. You can't change the fact that everything that Mc wanted and worked hard for, ML got effortlessly and he doesn't even need money. MC has to grit it even if it hurts, bc he can't go soft now. He has a cat relying solely on him.
Ch.40 is kinda ok but ch.39??? almost as if I was reading the raws. I don't understand people defending the translator who did a half assed work. Saying that some people still enjoy reading the chap even tho you did not understand a thing? It's basically the same as just skimming through the pages looking at the art but basically not understanding a single thing they're talking about. English is not my first language but even tho I'm not fluent doesn't mean I understand the google translated translation, meaning I did not enkoy reading bc I did not understand it. I'm not bashing anyone, I know translating is hard that's why I also know if someone half assed the work which they don't deserve the defense they are getting. Just because "they uploaded" doesn't mean they did an effort. I've seen many scanlation teams and translators who doesn't even get anything from translating but still do a very good job bc they empathize with the readers as they are readers themselves as well. I know this is an illegal site that is why most of the readers would rather wait patiently or get nothing at all. We also have the right to complain bc no one asked to have seen an update only to read a perfectly uncomprehensible chapter. It's like they literally uploaded the raws here the difference is just the letters are replaced with the english alphabet, but nothing makes sense at all. This is an illegal site so we know that we aren't getting the same as the ones in the official translation, but because we know that we aren't forcing anyone to translate. We'd rather not get an update bc it's the same as getting one only to finish the chapter as if you've never read any coz u don't understand. Sorry not sorry, I can say all of this coz if it were me if I am picking up a project I put my 200% on it coz I know people will receive it. If I know I can't I'd rather not do it at all than half ass it and get bashed then get people who would defend you when it is entirely on you. Not sure if they really liked translating this one or just did it for recognition, bc this is not an outcome of a task you enjoyed doing. Lastly for the translator of ch.40 you are the translator and you are not sure or you don't know who *Ho is? Then how are the readers supposed to understand when you did not. Ji Ho is the main character Ho is his first name. Anyway those who would come and attack me please read this carefully and use comprehension. If you understood robot language then you should understand mine right? Before you come at me and blindly defend someone analyze why other readers are complaining. We are all the same reading in an illegal site, but we never forced someone to to the translating, if no one does it's fine coz translating is hard but if someone half asses it that's a diff story coz no one asked for it. Only greedy readers who are so forceful in the comments asking for updates would defend translations like this. They want faster updates so it's fine even if it's just english words and not a sentence. get what I mean? u should've just looked at the raws instead of asking for a half assed translation.
I thought I would be able to understand this again after I read ch.45 but now it's back again like I'm reading the kr raws. No right to complain since I am reading in an illegal site and I know translating is hard but there are people who do enjoy doing it. We appreciate the effort latest tl but if you don't enjoy it that would really be the output of your translationad that would make the readers feel bad that you did it when you don't like it when no one asked you to. I've seen scanlation groups and solo tl's that even tho they don't get anything from translating with great effort they still upload good quality translations just bc they love and enjoy what they are doing.
People love this webtoon and it's sad that this has been repeatedly dropped and updates are little to almost none, but what is the point of someone uploading it consistenly but the readers don't understand? It's the same as reading the raws. But if we get none that's totally fine, instead don't upload something half assed or don't upload anything at all. There I knew my guts are telling me she's a psycho, so I swam through the ocean we call google and searched for a tiniest bit of a spoiler abt what will this GUM will wreck!! And lo and behold she's starting to act on her stalker ///// psycho schemees!!!! ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ I can't because I read that Hee-won will be on an accident that was caused by this btich!!!! I don't know if it's already thr next chapter but what I know is that we're definitely slowly going to that part !! Not sure if you asked permission too, and with the quality of your translation at that. You uploaded something like this while there is someone already sacrificing their time and hardwork only for someone to upload over them. If they stopped uploading will you be courteous enough to take on their role and deliver quality translations too?
