Everyone's saying how MC shouldn't have run away or asking if he really faked having sex with that rapist--but maybe because you haven't experienced fear at that level or something similar, you can't relate. You don't act rationally when you're afraid.
MC chose to pretend to enjoy sex with the rapist because he couldn't control what was going on whatsoever. He was frightened out of his wits and he thought if he initiated something else, at least he could save himself and control the narrative somewhat.
As for MC choosing to runaway, I also think it makes sense. Although I'm not surprised people are frustrated. Like I said, people don't act rationally when they're scared. MC can't control how the ML/LI reacts so he does the only thing he has control over--runaway. He's afraid of being victim blamed for the sex/rape thing--which is a very real concern!!!

I agree with the part of him fearing for his life thus acting like he enjoyed it (we literally see him thinking of ml so ofc he wasn't enjoying the rape obviously) I don't understand how ppl think mc wanted it... as for the running away, that was irrational (rightfully so) but ml literally would never hurt or shame mc so that's why ppl felt frustrated (including me ngl)

We're hit in the face with fluff for the first 10 chapters. Just as I got settled into a historical fluff piece, the story changes into a political one? And then suddenly all strategic decisions are placed in MC's hands? What?! Our MC is a literal newbie! An educated newbie, but a newbie--something the story even reinforced earlier! I'll admit that our MC has potential to be more--but it's too much too soon. Apparently it's only 34 chapters, so why was there so much mindless fluff for the first 10 chapters...?
Wow, the visuals of the story are always so bright and flowery compared to how the author chose to write the "system" and the rules it imposes on Jerry. It's incredibly sadistic and honestly it keeps me on my toes.
