Shizuma had before said to Yuka his ex gf, “you said that on purpose. You know I can’t resist you when you do,” in front of Minato like nothing. He is this kind of nice oblivious guy. Did he mean anything by it, no. He didn’t. But because he didn’t mean anything by it is what’s making this alarming because he doesn’t see a wrong in saying that to his ex gf in front of his current bf.
What I’m trying to say is, it’s okay to be a nice person but there needs to be boundaries on what’s acceptable and what’s not.
Suppose, if I have a partner and my closeness with my new friend I just made is making my partner uncomfortable, I would tackle that immediately. If I see the change in attitude and behavior in my partner after my interaction with my new friend then I would reflect on my actions and draw boundaries. I wouldn’t need my partner to spell it out that they’re jealous and that they hate seeing me hanging out with this new friend. I would take action even without them verbally spell it out.
The thing is, Shizuma knows already that Minato doesn’t like him hanging with this director. He know. That’s clear. It's just, Minato hasn’t said it out to him. Also, Shizuma underestimated the seriousness in this and didn’t think much of this and kind of brush it off. I feel like to Shizuma he can still do whatever he can with the director as long as Minato doesn’t know about it. That’s why when the director pop his head out he think to himself “why did the director has to pop his head out at that time.”
The next couple chapters has no Minato and only Shizuma and the director. Chapter 16 is when it will resume from this chapter.
I think the reason why many people are more angry with Shizuma is because he got a third party involved in his and Minato relationship meanwhile Minato is just insecure, jealous, and not opening up to Shizuma. They are both wrong in their own way but people can relate more to Minato with being the one who have to witness his partner being chummy with someone else. Especially with them working together and shared similar interest. In the past, Shizuma also doesn’t like Minato hanging around those two people and Minato stop hanging around them. It all comes down to boundaries.
A new character that is a girl should be add. The new girl can be someone close to the ML but nothing romantic. But the ML will undoubtedly have to prioritize the new girl due to work, so the FL can finally understand how the ML feel when she lied to him to be with another guy.
