I don't care about the boyfriend. My problem are girls or guys thinking they have a chance with a someone that's already taken. That goes for any body trying to be a whole relationship wrecker. It just disgusts me is all.

If this isn't a realistic peak at this very time period then i don't know what is. So many women died during child birth because of the loss of so much blood, and many precautions weren't even invented yet.
When I read this I separate this time period we're currently in to the one in this story. By the characters standards freckles and darker skin are considered ugly, which we all know they aren't. I mean even in our own country people did think these features were ugly, and now people are coveting them. Sadly some folks still think this way. But I try to read this story with an open mind.

I was going crazy when I saw that this updated. I knew it wasn't done but wow. The Duke and Allen offing people was just the tip of the iceberg. Get you a man that will literally body somebody just for disrespecting you
