OMG, I can so relate! SO many times where I've been reading Yaoi and then snickered or wore a disturbing smirk and then my mum or roommate asks me what's so funny. It's a moment of sheer panic--like, uuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhh....what do I say?!?!?! I've gotten to the point where I'll just say "oh, just reading something" or "you don't wanna know" and they'll leave it alone ;p. Probably helps that they abstractly know that I read this kinda thing...
