So either 1st chapter is wrong and from an unreliable narrator because at that point in time teach couldn't remember everything correctly, or now is the time hes misremembering things and his memories are being manipulated in a way
People will really use anything to justify a ml's bad behaviour and this is my first time fully realising that fr and I dont even believe he killed the dad but thats not the end all and be all here for whether hes a bad person or not and neither is the apocalypse. U can still want them to end up together in the end, its a manga who cares, but let's mb not go to the ends of the earth trying to explain away unnecessary murder
