definetely not a justification for what for not saving her daughter, but i feel like shes completely stockholmed and even jealous of her daughter because of the way she was conditioned by her husband that the abuse and torture he was doing was love and making her "more beautiful".

i think its a consequence of her really severe abuse. really fucked up, but not everyone who gets abused suddenly gets better when they have children, sometimes the children are used as a tool to create more jealousy and make abuse victims feel worthless. again im not saying it makes it ok, just a reality that some people end up going through.

i agree though, regardless she needs to be held accountable for actions, but also support for what she went through, either through a mental hospital or through rehbilitation. its not gonna make things suddenly better, but its still something.

while the mother couldnt escape the affects of the abuse, at least the daughter did and was able to help the other girl (praying they dont get caught but i dont have hope ): )
