I don't think he poisoned him. The condition the mc has is something that's more chronic and is caused by a repeated habit that's caused problems to stack up over time, so I don't think it's something that the herbal tea could've done.
His friend would've also suffered milder effects of it since he also tasted some of the tea.
Nvm, it's more likely the mc's condition was caused by a bacterial infection or smoking or drinking, not anything that could've been caused by tea.
