I have a feeling Seungho was put up for sexual abuse by his father like some kind of collateral. There are some studies of victims of abuse that turn into abusers themselves (Google it if you want to read more). I think that's why Seungho turned into the way he is right now. I'm not excusing of his past behaviour. But he, unfortunately, is a victim of his own past abuse too.
Sometimes novel to manga illustrations just don't translate well because a lot of the details from the novel get left out and crammed into limited manga panels for each chapter. That's why a lot of the chapters don't make sense/confusing.
I just realized that Tae-eun's name is a combination of the first (syllables?) between Taeyoon and Eunhoo. Super cute for a baby to be named after their parents.
