It's easy to pass judgement in the sake of love, but life is not black and white. More than anything, there's a lot of grey areas.
Not everything in life is meant for you.
And as an adult sometimes you have to make the difficult decisions to let go of certain things and certain people to take care of yourself. Just because you love someone so much doesn't mean they warrant a space in your life if it's hurting yourself and your situation. There's nothing wrong with putting yourself first. It's not selfish or arrogant, it's self care. It's just life. You learn, you let go, you move forward.

Why the fuck does Gyujin keep on insisting on drinking until he blacks out when he only gets sexually assaulted each time as a result!!!
That's fine if he wants to take the time to process his trauma and then tell his partner about them (if he chooses to), but take a damn break and clear your mind?? Stop drinking excessively? You're only sabotaging yourself and your relationship.
Not to victim blame, but that stupid ass decision making is so frustrating!! I couldn't focus on the main couple because of Gyujin!!

A good chunk of BL writers are women. When they write awful women characters I lowkey think it's due their own internal misogyny. They're the same people who claim to only have male friends because women are too "dramatic".

Men are just as capable of being dramatic and as sabotaging as the women portrayed in these BL works. But that "villain woman in a BL" trope is so overused that the readers are conditioned to hate the women every time they ever so slightly appear.
Of course, women can be toxic too. Everyone regardless of their gender is capable of toxicity. But why do we condemn and villainize women more compared to men?
Just because women are more outspoken about their ways of expressing does not make them anymore dramatic than men who tend to express their feelings in silent pettiness.

this made me so sad to read. what’s with all that internalized misogyny? what you’re saying is extremely sexist- not to talk of quite generalizing- women are often portrayed this way due to media, mostly media directed by men to portray this UNTRUE and ungoing agenda that women are petty/ dramatic boycrazy or whatever. i’m not saying this to bash you bc it literally isn’t your fault with how women are treated (even in this day and age) i just think you should ask yourself why you think that and where that roots from- especially because you’re a woman too and looking down on urself for it is not it

She may act childish because she's in a body of a child. She's acting like a child because that's how she has to adapt to her new world without being suspicious. But I think she still has the capacity to think like an adult. The Emperor did mention that her writing/drawing concepts (from the books she wrote that she gave the Prince) were quite advance for a child. That came from adult her, not child her.
She's able to understand and process new information quite well and fast like learning the world's language and alphabet and history. Maybe some parts of her have age-regressed because her physique is of a child, having the body and brain size of one. And children can't exactly hold much information because of the size of their brains, unless they're super genius (?)
Another great one from the amazing Kanda Neko
