Takagi Shigeyoshi is the pen name of Ogawa Chise when she is drawing/writing shoujo manga... So the info is not wrong unfortunately :(
She is only the artist for this manga though, not the writer. So maybe that's why this isn't shounen ai or yaoi. Such a wasted opportunity ╥﹏╥

Unfortunately it's completed and according to baka-updates it's a josei manga ┗( T﹏T )┛ But there's still hope it's a bromance manga with an open ending and not any straight-romance so we can freely ship the main characters ╮(￣▽￣)╭
I am glad am not the only one disappointed that this is shoujo, though! We are in the same boat my friend (^ _ ^)/
