The left mage just seems to have affection for her like that of a parent or a sibling and the wolf kid seems to view her as more of like”you are my savior.” Neither seem romantic in the slightest. It’s more like a sense of calm and fulfillment they haven’t felt in a long time. You know because sometimes compassion starved people just become fiercely loyal and protective of the ones kind to them. Technically the emperor and the twins are like that too

Yatamomo was the first ever yaoi manga I've read. And its been years or so but I still keep reading it again and again. It so sweet and heartwarming. Especially when Yata pamper and express his love for momo in different ways. And the most painful was how momo cried, but still smiled at the end. I mean he was so strong and just laugh at everything even when he got rape.
In conclusion the best story ever. The plot and the characters are almost realist.
