It's not that I didn't like the second couple, but it was predictable that they would get together. I thought they shouldn't have had that much time devoted to them, but I'm not the creator so no judgement. I miss Minkyu and Jung-Hyun. I wish the story would've gotten the second couple together and then ended with Minkyu and Jung-Hyun being the main focus. I wanted to see them be lovey-dovey beyond an off handed comment about them never fighting. The entire thing was super cute though!
River is out here unknowingly giving his energy/life force to Khaol, and Khaol is still acting like River is so inferior to him. Chapter 49 rubbed me the wrong way. It seems that Khaol is only doing the bare minimum to keep River from hating him so that he can take energy from River. It really feels like it's just a transaction between them on Khaol's part.
I think sometimes we forget how young Mafuyu and Ueno are. Mafuyu has barely lived any time without Yuki in his life. With how young he is and how long Yuki and Mayufu were in each other's lives, it's obvious to me that Mafuyu isn't going to just move on and full on let himself be in love with Ue. He didn't just lose a lover, he lost a forever friend. And we have to give Ue so much credit for not expecting/demanding more from Mafuyu than Mafuyu is currently capable of giving. (I love Ue's character)
I definitely like Heil more at this point, but he's too easy of a character to like. I bet he's going to twist something. I love River's character, but I feel that his continuous attachment to Khaol doesn't fit him. In my opinion. Khaol will never feel as attached to River as River is to Khaol, and he'll never be at the same level of feelings towards River that he has towards Kaveri. If Khaol ever had to choose between the two, I can never see him choosing River. I kind of hate that Kaveri is dragged into all this because I actually like Kaveri as a character. I didn't think I would.
this kinda means that Yuki's song is "given" to Uenoyama...
Also, I think that Hiiragi and Shizu giving the song to Ue is their way of moving on from Yuki's death. I think that this is how they are showing they have accepted it. For sure his death still hurts, but this is how they are going to remember him. It is also a way for them to invite Ue to get closer to Mafuyu.
