Ive been questioning to my self hell i know the answer.. this pass years i many manhwa release some good and a massive story (shoujo, yaoi , shounen) the authors of korean are quiet good while the other authors of japan hiatus for a loong time or not work anymore even the manga (japan) thyere not too much indimand while some other manga theyre keep trending (like one piece , attack on titans etc.) While in shoujo Manhwa (korean) are quiet good.even in Adult manhwa ..(〜￣△￣)〜

it's because many choose to watch anime instead of reading manga since they find manga complicated or just prefer watching. mangas are also expensive as fuck. i spend around $10 a month just to read them. on the other hand, manhwas are more accessible and mostly available for free. they are also QUICKER TO PRODUCE and easier to read which is why they're gaining popularity. however, there are still PLENTY if shoujo and josei available on platforms like Renta!. i have 8 manga apps myself, and new titles are being released. the thing is they lack promotion and can be quite pricey. and i accidentally run into some weird sites exclusive to mangas and the amount of adult mangas on it and being released is crazy af.
the situation is not much different from manhwas. sum titles are popular while others are not. it's just that manhwas are mass-produced because they are easier to make compared to mangas. webtoon allows anyone to publish their own work. it's not the same with mangas. and the process of drawing and publishing is kinda different from that of manhwa artists.
