ahhh gosh i think this made my heart 1 size smaller ;__;
This is so sensual! The art is stunning like I spent a few long seconds staring at some panels to appreciate how well it was drawn T_T. There is so much feels on every word, the pain, frustration, fear and all. one of the best.
I wish Wei could finally sort her mind and make a stand for Ding Yi. And I also wish Ding Yi kinda trust Wei about her personal life. We even didn't find out why is she crying in the first meeting.
Do you guys know if this will continue? And when could it possibly be? Regardless, I need to make my heart strong enough to accept if this masterpiece will not be updated indefinitely ;__;
Ah and i noticed that the title would mean 2 things.
Beloved and Be Loved. okay im gonna cry again ;__;

This feels like reading a story about a silver knight in a shining armor trying to save the little pink riding hood who is lost in the woods.
go save her jeannette! and geez wake up jeanne, there's an obvious light through the passage in front of you..

Honestly, are you not done with stories where one character has to be "saved" by another? Would have been better if they were a hit woman duo, or two lower class woman trying to survive together. Jeanette to an extent seems believable, but you would expect her to have better "street smarts", as she isn't a cloistered upper class lady, as for the hit woman, okay even wearing trousers in that era would have been ridiculous, let alone her getting such power.

well it seems that Jeannette's character was intentionally made to be that strong type so that she'll be well fit to save Jeanne. and personally, Jeanne's character is too weak for my taste (i'm not saying i hate it though) I understand how much she wants being loved, but even if it just a lie? man, that's sadder than having nothing at all.

I just feel any relationship they have will be insincere, as as you point out, Jeanne just seems to latch on to anyone who says they love her & is nice to her, even if they don't have that intent. The hitwoman too, is she doing it out of genuine love, or just sympathy and anger that Jeanne has been taken for a ride. Sorry, but not really feeling this manhwa, it's too power imbalanced, illogical for the time period, and any relationship seems quite shallow of Jeannes part. A better manhwa, is Bexton's Mother's in "Wolf in the house", both able, confident women, despite all the testing they face, and as readers we aren't told to glorify their actions either, as demonstrated through Bexton's conflict.

‘ as for the hit woman, okay even wearing trousers in that era would have been ridiculous, let alone her getting such power.’
Most woman around that era were used to assassinate noblemen and other people. Although I agree they weren’t wearing trousers and had gone for more the feminine route to lure their targets. I guess the author wanted to take a spin on that.

Well yeah their feelings might feel kinda forced but hopefully this ends up better from what we're expecting. Sometimes things ended up that way because that's the only available options presented to them (and I'd say this is kind of sad) but this would be a different case if a character would go their way beyond what they normally do.
I dont mean to make a post to badmouth this manga but thanks I'll check on that :)

i tried my best to read this until chapter 3 and finally decided to drop by the comment section to see if somebody is as confused as me. I guess the feeling is mutual.
the story is messy, jumpy and plainfully odd XD at chap 3, i cannot see much development (or i am just confused lol). the MC also kinda accepted the fact that her mom was gay so casually like yeah ok?
Yeah, I should not.
damnit that was so hot af!! literally lol
lmao with the brain malfunction. i wish i can use that as an excuse to my life right now lol
