someone told me that his mark is in Zay's body too and i think this is why her mark is weird bcz it is actually two marks in one, poor Aseph feeling insecure bcz he is the only one without a mark when he cried i felt like crying too
I think he did it so he would not have any association with the religion because he considered himself superior. He could not say he was keeping a promise by protecting the people when the people themselves were welcoming and accepting. Fact is that the priest recognized them as the higher power and that would overthrow the reign. So he made sure to squash that by first destroying the threat, and second by instilling fear into everyone by burning alive such high authority like the priest and burning children alive. He was no hero. He was power hungry. Because the very castle he resides is called the red (king) castle.
And i do believe he murdered his brothers wife because he found out who she was. But i think that he wanted to kill yona as well after realizing who she was and that is why king il killed him. I believe that king il had principles and stood by them and worshipping the red dragon was how he grew up. I dont think that he murdered his brother in a fit of rage over a dead wife. But i do think that if it was to protect the red dragon AKA his daughter then he would kill him. It goes more with his character. But then again I might be totally wrong
u feel like the emperor is one of the dragons and can be killed only by the sword. And that he wants to be put out of his misery. Thats why he doesnt want he harmed. Because he knows who she is. And also before he got the sword, he didnt know that she was the only one who could yield it. So i think that he wants her to kill him but she cant have hatred when that happens so he is trying.
