I have a hard time saying Dowon loves her because it's obvious either he is unaware of his feelings or doesn't have any towards her that is romantic. People like to say he was jealous that she was smitten with the bodyguard but I have a different perspective. He was not jealous he was possessive, he saw that the object he had cultivated was being taken away, someone stealing his property. As he said himself "She is the flower I worked hard to bloom", he doesn't see her as a person with thoughts and feelings but rather someone he will always be able to control for his own gain. His goal is for her to be a flawless leader and he be king. But as we see know Hong Lyon who went along with rising to power to repay Dowon, now wants to be a ruler that does good for her kingdom and not to be a flawless leader. I really don't see a future for them .
usually people refer to the actual person as blooming and not a flower. when he talks about her as if she is a flower, he is revealing that he thinks about her like an object and not a person. I dont think hes speaking gibberish though because hes pretty concise with his words and how he portrays people in them.
Why is everyone so hung up on Juno needing someone. Why can't she just be fierce independent women who know her worth. Louis doesn't deserve her, he can't have everything, he wants his company and to do so he has to marry a deer and produce deer children and he is already married and still goes on dates with Juno, we all know he won't leave his deer wife (who seems pretty cool by the way). Do you expect Juno to be a mistress forever. Of course not, Juno dodged a bullet. She has her own goals and a happy future ahead of her.
Just reading the comments terrifies me, the amount of people that think Dowon is a good person is astounding. Down manipulated a girl that was so isolated, verbally abused and lonely. People say she approached him first, but in the manga, they meet by coincidence and she asked him if he could teach her how to READ. He then put ideas into her head about repaying him and what she could do for HIM. Their relationship has always been Dowon using her and grooming her so he can benefit from her and she one could say used him too, but I would not say that. She was a naive girl who was so lonely that the first person to ever acknowledge her she instantly clung on too.
To those who sympathise with Rashta, I get it she is a slave who just wanted a better life, but the way she goes about it is so annoying. She acts like a 10-year-old child and constantly belittles the empresses' position in such an oblivious manner and has no regard for the people around her or the consequences of her actions. Not to mention that the empress has never been threatening towards her, so she has no reason to constantly try to plot plans to get rid of her.
I feel a similar way, like as annoying as she is, if she can take advantage of some idiot dude to get a better life, power to her I guess. I just hate how navier gets roped into it and has to deal with their bs constantly. Like just go fuck off together and leave her out of it Can’t wait till Navier gets to dip out of this lol
Yes, exactly, I mean being the concubine of an emperor is a pretty sweet position, why is she so hell-bent on being the empress, why would anyone want that job, especially when one isn't qualified for it. Literally, all she needed to do was live in luxury, have a baby, love the emperor and enjoy her status, really her greed is her downfall. Not to mention this empress isn't trying to get her killed like in most history would do, especially when you steal someone else's husband.
I feel like there is a lot missing in summer's background and why she's mad at guy. I think summer truly loves him. However in a way she is trying to test him and see if he will always be by her side. It's obvious she has been through something traumatic and doesn't want him to know that, thus she continues to be mean to him.
