Long story short he thinks he's part of the novle that he read thinking he transmitted into the world of the characters of the book but in reality he was part of that world the novle was never real in the first place along with them being friends he stated in the past it was best for them to be friends so when he was in coma his mind made that world for him so the book that was reading back then before he woke up that he was memories but he just doesn't know it yet only the seme knows the truth but he won't tell him since he's afraid that it will go bad once again

How i understand it is:

Huimin somehow got transported into the omegaverse version of his world after the top turned back time. And now he's living the life of the Huimin from the omegaverse. Idk if what i wrote makes much more sense xd

I think this is their 3rd life timeline.

First one being the og novel plot, the og novel is the first timeline of them.
I think the second reality is their life as friends in common world with no omegaverse thing.
And ML turn back time again to make things right again by making a different ending to the first timeline.

Why i think them being school friends is an actual reality (in a way) and not an imagination is bc ML actually know that the "friend" regressor huimin mentioned is his other self from second timeline. He knew things the second timeline huimin would say, etc. but im guessing another thing here.

after og huimin died his soul probably leave for the second timeline and iheon bait 2nd timeline huimin to come to the og omegaverse world to make an alternate ending by making him read the novel, that's why iheon sternly told his adoptive dad there's an ledger of embezzlement that huimin step dad had that they could use to destroy opposition, even though iheon has always been REALLY careful about things like this, but it just made me sense there might be something behind why he's quick to believe it beside huimin having a reasonable accusation.
