So i catched up with the latest chapter and hell nah, you do realize this ML is straight up manipulating MC to do what he wants, while he didn't want the bothersome stuffs dating comes with? Sure his opinion is a real issue in a relationship, but to say that while knowing that MC is catching feelings and putting up lines not to cross just so he can keep his fun? The real ones would stop and discuss properly whether they're on the same page or not, but not this guy. He didn't want anyone to "own" him but he's already pretty possessive about the MC? Wow talk about real ass here, he's smooth in ways that he take control over the naive, awkward MC so much that not even the MC realize it, yet.
This is why I said that Woori is only a plot device, he's gonna be that thorn on his side in the future that ML gonna realize he might lose MC or so jealous to the point he'll go on his redemption arch and forsake his no dating rules. I called it. MC gonna go on a path full of suffering just for this ML to be a 'decent' human
Reading at 16th chapter and my heart hurts knowing Woori is only a plot device and not even second male lead ML giving me predatory vibes while Woori being that understanding, gentle guy and being overlooked?? WHAT A SIN!!
I had to go through the earlier chapters with sheer will power to fight the urge to quit it, lest my soul descend into ultimate shame out of secondhand embarrassment.
But thank you my past self for not quitting this one because this gets so GOOD, with actual plot and mystery intriguing enough that i still can't figure out what exactly are the secrets! Also as nonsensical and chaotic the FL was she grew on me and found her adorable now, i understand ML fondness for her. And obviously vice versa because what's lacking from the ML ha! I love their banter, it's so refreshing, it's like they take turns in annoying the other out of adoration and I LOVE THAT
Listen... Two men having a bath together? Idk if it's culture or what but... That sending me different vibes lololol. I KNOW there are men with platonic close relationship who do sauna together butt naked and all, but together in one bathtub?? Hmmm............. Forget melody since she's going to be together with your older brother Ronnie, go for Isaiah instead
Now the table is turned!! You boys need to treasure each other and yourselves more
Finished reading it, finally. I liked it, loved how clever the FL until the end and there was moments of anxiety with how it turns out, but well my confidence in the FL wasn't misplaced! Overall great, i just have that one ick about the initial divorce lol.
Listen, i love the characters, they're pretty solid, charming, cute and also clever mostly for the FL. BUT it annoys me to no end whenever the topic of divorce surfaces like they suddenly lost their skill to have a proper conversation and decent logic?? It feels super forced sigh. Granted I'm still halfway the story but if they keep being dumb only when the divorce shit arises I'm about to break someone's neck
Utterly beautiful, solid characterizations, intricately woven plot, and quite realistic portrayal of human psychology. Everyone here with a thirst of their own makings, and not one of these people willing to give up the ones which ease their thirst. Down down their darkness they go
Whyyy it felt like I've been having blue balls these few chapters hmmm like they keep teasing their reunion and it keeps getting cliffhanger yo wtf
It's amazing how consistent that guy's behavior is throughout the story, consistently obnoxious that is
Secondhand embarrassment is real y'all, I've never felt its existence so strongly before this
I think the ending was a little rushed, perhaps due to something that the author had to rushed it. Nonetheless i loved the journey of the story, a lukewarm ending doesn't mean it erased the beautifully executed process.

Is Kirishima a red flag? Then I'll remind you this whole world they live in is the fckn red flag. But does that mean i agree with him? Nah. But if you know how the real Yakuza world is, even Kirishima is considered tame. He born a bit different than the others, he got antisocial tendency and i guess pain was his outlet to feel some sort of thrill to keep living because he can't understand basic emotions that other people are experiencing, and sex for that matter. He grows in a world where women seen as commodity, tools and subpar humans, it's not realistic if he stay chaste, he learned that just the way it is. He was unhinged at first, unpredictable and volatile, but the more we see his world, his past, we kinda see why he is what he is now. Actually it's kinda surprised me that he was a bit reckless to somewhat save a girl he used to sleep with, some people in his line would not give two fcks, but he did and he mentioned it more than once, so he do to some level care for his interpersonal relationships. He's not a full blown antisocial then.
Meanwhile Shouma and Yoshino eh? He is devoted to her that's for sure, but i don't think it's romantic. It's like he considers her as a sister but also he owes her, he's protective about her but like siblings have no qualms to roast or ear pull the other if need be. Their relationship is rather complex, but they're comfortable with each other the trust each other no question asked, after all they grew up together. If you had a family or a friend you really love, and you think their partners doesn't deserve them, you kinda hate they're partners for it. I think that's what Shouma is feeling, however he is intense, after all he lives in a rough violent world.
Now all in all, the anomaly here is actually Yoshino, in this sort of world. We readers see her as the most normal in the story, but given the circumstances she's actually the odd one. Not many people, if there's any i wouldn't know, who live in this kind of world could turned out like Yoshino. She's straightforward, intact common sense, kind, firm and gentle at the same time. I love her, we need more people like her. I like that she wasn't super strong or good at fighting, but mind you her mental strength is tantamount, she had her moments of weakness, but that doesn't hold her back and instead push her forward even more. I'm in love
