The hair color thing is because it hard to tell the difference between lead characters if their hair is the same length and color...it could also be kinks.
As for the names, Tora = Tiger and Ryuu = Dragon so badass/warrior names = delinquents/Yakuza.

Tora is tiger and Ryu is dragon. They're often used in Japanese literature and other media as two strong opponents. There is a very popular movie called crouching tiger hidden dragon

I know everyone is hating on Aki right now, but I just reread the whole story and now I can't... I think he is for one frustrated cause he feels that everyone is surpassing him easily even though he puts in a lot of effort and that he is generally confused about his feelings cause he thinks he is still in love with Ugetsu but Haru is also very dear to him... He seems to have always been really impulsive and now Haru got the worst of it but I think they both know that Aki was really wrong with what he did and now they can work this out... At least I hope that's how it is XD
