ever since the horse racing sht, Perrat has been suspicious. the way he flinched when the third prince encountered him at the barracks. and when perrat apologized to him, i felt it wasn't bc of the "first dance with the MC" but smth more. i guessed right. perhaps, at the barracks, the first one he encountered was Edward and tried to convince him to do smth outrageous and sinister. and maybe perrat was given time to think about it. and at the end, he agreed, based on how he was acting towards our MC in the latest chapter. i love the flow of the story tho! i write stories too and meeting my characters would be so awesome!
