I don't even remember this story was set in China. I thought it's a dystopian Korea. It's too bad that the artist have to end it due K-netizen's hate towards China. But I'm thankful the artist decided to stop at happy end. Great story and beautiful art.

Yes for the manhwa. I think there is a complete novel for this story but I haven't find the novel yet.
I'm at the very first chapter, the story seems wholesome the way Mr. Plain wrote on his diary, aawww! The adorable Mr. "Slutty in The Inside Pure on The Outside" and kind Mr. Popular, until I get to the last few panels.. Oh my, Taemon-ssi.. I mean, Master, step on me, Sir. What a twist.
The author should've completed the main couple story before moving on to other couples. Stop with the mindset that readers will go away when the main couple's story is finished. Because it's BS. Other creative authors (Yuki Shimizu, Sakuraga Mei, etc) have successfully created multiple spin off stories based on the same universe.

It might just be translation stuff, the friend could just be worried or curious with no ulterior motive but the tone and words used for the sentence can convey a lot of different things.
It's why I use visual cues instead so since the frame and panels are bright and the font text is normal. I just assume that it might have been exaggerated.
