Appreciated this chapter! (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ The backstory memory gives some more explanation of why Chanbit is so dependant on people; to the point that he's hurting himself. He's also starting to really understand the difference between a healthy/harmful relationship. He also has a lot of internalized guilt that he does not deserve. I wanted to cry! As always Baekyung is respectful and careful with Cha, even when he's experiencing intense emotions: worry, anger, jealousy. We are getting a very stark and important comparison between him and Youngha- how these two deal with situations, Chanbit's body and feelings, and their own emotions. I love how he's so in tune with Chanbit. He's able to make quite a few guesses about Chanbit's emotional state, and the reasons that might have caused it. But OMG! Can he please find out about Youngha already so he can kill him?! The only problem is that will probably drive Chanbit away for a little while, because he'll feel embarrassed to face him, will think that Beakyung is disgusted with him, guilty, and will want to "protect" him by creating a distance between them.
I'm really happy that I decided to give this story a second chance! The first time I didn't make it past chapter 4. This time I reread it from the beginning, all throughout the day, and was still up at 4AM when I decided that I'd have to finish it tomorrow (today). Please let them be lovey dovey again! I love how all characters are developing- both as individuals, and in their relationships with one another- and I'm not just talking about the main couple. There probably should have put a rape tag on it for people who it's a trigger for them; but yeah- rape is very bad and traumatic- DUH! Why are people acting like this is news?! I also was impressed by how they showed that rape, sexual harassment, and abuse isn't just man-woman, or man-man. And just because you've gone through it doesn't make you weak, dirty, or unworthy of being loved. That scene with both of them at the beach was everything! Though it then didn't do enough for Tanhoo's healing process in my opinion... I like how they are lovey dovey and cutesy, but still take their relationship seriously. They don't just blindly go into things- they explore their feelings, and give each other space to grow and make their own decisions. They also really grow as "boyfriend material" respectively #goals!
Zack Lee pisses me off more every time. Dude! You don't have to say her father raped her; say he's abusive, say he's dangerous, even just say you found out something really bad about him. Daniel would probably have taken your side. He never gives enough explanation to his actions- so he always HAS to fight or everyone thinks badly of him. He pretends he's so noble, but really he's just a hypocrite raring for a fight to prove that he's the best. (/TДT)/
