That made my heart hurt.
I get where the Grandpa is coming from- he wants him to have a happy and fulfilled life- and to him that means having a normative balanced family structure. It's what he experienced, what he was taught, and what he wasn't able to give him.
But pushing someone else to live your ideal life, can cause a lot of pain.
And it's especially bad since he guilts him using the "Won't you let me die peacefully" speech.
He refuses to listen to what he has to say, and why he might want to make this decision (though I doubt that he would have admitted that it's because he's gay).
He's very young.
Even if he changed his mind in the future, what kind of relationships would he really be forming by chugging along to someone else's pace?
This isn't only with gay/bi relationships either. There are many hetro cis people who genuinely don't want to marry and have kids- for various reasons. Forcing them to, isn't fair to them, or to their future "families". It can have major physical/mental/emotional health repercussions among other things.
And it's not like we're lacking people in the world.
Though I can understand not wanting your family line to disappear....

I am seriously tempted to find out where this author lives and bitchslap them!
If you are going to write about a demographic you don't belong to- you need to do proper research first!
Talk to people from the community, go on some forums, wikipedia, even Tik Tok would provide you more accurate information.
This author took every made up garbage harmful homophobic bullshit cliche's about gay people that has been in the media, compiled it, and added porn.

Artists are supposed to do their research before writing...they should also do a plot map of the story, character profiles, etc. during the pre-writing phase. This story is more like an author wondering hmm what should I write/draw this week? Without a plan. @mami94 bitch slap the editor first if you want results with that violence.

ARE Y'ALL CRAZY?! SOME OF WHAT YOU SAID IS TRUE...BUT IT'S FICTIONAL CHARACTERS AND A FICTIONAL STORY. SHOULD JK ROWLING HAVE RESEARCH THE YOUNG LIVES WITCHES AND WARLOCKS? MY POINT IS, YOU CAN RESEARCH AND PLOT MAP BUT AS A WRITER IT'S A WORLD YOU CREATE FROM YOUR IMAGINATION. NOW, IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE AUTHOR'S WRITING STYLE, THEN DON'T READ IT OR WRITE YOUR OWN

I don't really think anyone should be bitchslapped over a fictional story. I'm just rolling with what the original commenter said. Btw, using all caps means you are yelling, calm down. I am a writer so I naturally critique what I read...it helps me with my own writing. The writer of this story is not writing science fiction or fantasy so bringing JKR in this makes no sense to anyone older than 10...but I digress. If you are gonna write about a culture that is not your own you have to research. If you're not yakuza but you want to write about that life, you research. If you are a female or a hetero male writing about sex between men, you research. Good writers strive to be authentic.
Oh, and only the truly immature have come backs like 'if you don't like it don't read it' bc they are enjoying a story with so many flaws only the smart people see and they feel insecure and pissed when those flaws are laid bare. It isn't a good look, you may want to leave that out next time. Ijs.

Really? You are comparing a story about a fictional community of witchcraft to community in the real world?
Yes it bothers me.
I AM part of the LGBQIA+ community, and am tired of the fact that often when we get representation this is what it is- poorly based, sloppily written, plays into cliches, slander, and homophobic hetro cis narrative that doesn't have a clue what it's talking about!
It really does actually harm the people in my community- people read things like this and think that this is how we are, because this is what they're shown.
And there's NO excuse; because unlike a fictional world where you make the rules- this is based on something real.
You can do research, you can educate yourself.
This as bad as when "Fifty Shades" became the representation for the BDSM community; hopefully, it won't become as popular.

What is wrong with you? I am asking out of genuine concern. You should really be ashamed of saying something like that. Yes I do take medication- wtf does that have to do with anything? And why are you saying it as if that's a problem someone should be ashamed of?! I'd be more worried about your apparent anger management issues, and yelling at people who didn't even direct insults at you... Calm down. You'll have a heart attack before age 40.

Lol. Staaaahp, my stomach hurts! First you call me ridiculous bc you lost when I brought logic into the discussion. Then you respond to me as soon as I hit 'post it' and whine for more attention. You are so adorable! I miss being a tween....well it would suck being one during this quarantine....Seriously though, do you want me to teach you how the shift key works?

@mami94 you have a lot of stories on your already read list. I beg you please recommend something good..something on the level of A Thousand Cranes or better. I can only take so much of stories like this or BJ Alex and the like. I want something I know I'll read and reread bc it's that good. Please!!! *puppy dog eyes*
This sensei is great at conveying atmosphere in a few words and awesome visuals.
You could really feel the emotions and tensions in this chapter from the drawings; the shadows, the movements, the expressions...
Him on the ground, with the shadow of hyung's hand hovering over his head.....
I think we all felt that!
