Yeah, I really liked that too. There are so many wrong assumptions about the community. Miscommunication leads to misunderstandings, which lead to fear, which lead to hate. Educating people about the LGBTQI community is one of the best ways of combating that hate. Sometimes homophobia is born from ignorance, like what is partially the case here. I'm really glad that this character is slowly learning that. like when he was saying "fag" all the time; He truly didn't know that that was a slur against gay people- he simply thought that was one of the terms that they are refuted to. When the bartender (relatively calmly) corrects him, he understands the error of his ways and immediately apologizes! This leads to him being a bit more comfortable and understanding around gay people. We need more yaoi's with these kinds of developments!
