Whenever I read a manga that is very good or there's a part that's very gripping, the palm of my hands start to tingle. It's like when a part of your body falls asleep, you get that prickly sensation. Does this happen to anyone else when they read good mangas? Am I just weird?? If it does, what mangas have made you experience the tingling palm syndrome?

Well, I read some of my favorite fanfiction stories on fanfiction.net or fluffy mangas like Rutta to Kodama or...argh...I can't recall them at the moment, but there are a few shoujo manga that I just adore reading that just makes me grin like a lunatic because it is so FLUFFY!!!

I like to visit George Takei's Facebook page - always funny stuff on there, and some very thought provoking posts as well. (his husband, Bard Takei, also has some great jokes and links)

Ah, well, usually watching foreign movies (most gay-themed :3). Just finished watching a Korean movie "The King and the Clown", it's absolutely amazing (warning: you will cry, lol).

Watched it on Netflix!! It's great... I can't take it when they act silly together, like when they pretended to be blind and kept missing each other, then finally hugged. Great story, great movie. I like your movie choices (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

That movie threw me into an ENTIRE k-pop phase 0.0 lol
Dunno, the movie just popped up again in my head, so I went to find it today.

What manga, anime, movie, image, or story have you read/seen that is really memorable?
I know it's a weird question, but I feel like I want to be inspired, so I wanted to ask what great works have stayed with you since discovering them. I like hearing what my people remember as true beauty

http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/doushitemo_furetakunai/ - This was like my second yaoi and it pretty much was my hook line and sinker to my love for yaoi. It made me cry, and since I don't cry easily, I loved it (sounds like i'm an M lol).

I've been into Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (it's a shonen manga) lately. The story is sad, but touching. It's worth a read! For me, it made me rediscovered my love for classical music.

Watched the anime. Gotta say it was really interesting and I just loved Ryuk and L.
Thanks for the share, still waiting for more opinions, mainly ones I haven't heard of yet.

Well, I wouldn't say mine is for the weak hearted, but for me it'd be this 5 chapter series called 'Goth'. My reason is kinda cliche, but it was because it was my first horror/mystery manga. The 2 protagonists' were strange and at that time I was considered an out cast to my peers(expect I wasn't as weird as the MC's). But, to most people I don't think most people would see Goth as "true beauty", but will always hold a special place in my heart ~v~

    helix February 25, 2015 7:47 am

Manga: It'd be "Loveless", I guess. I like both the art and the storyline. It's sad and beautiful and makes me cry.
Anime: Films made by Studio Ghibli. Especially "Howl's Moving Castle" and "Grave of the Fireflies" (it's very touching). Not only the art, but the music is great too.

http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/fruits_basket/ - this was my first series way back. To this day I'm grateful for this story; sure it's cute and funny. But it's also about stepping out of the shadow cast from your past, your parents, your failures and weaknesses.
The discovery of heaven by Harry Mulisch (a dutch writer)
And Morimoto Shu. I celebrate every release of a new chapter of her mangas with a mug of steaming hot coffee, unplugging my landline, ignoring the doorbell ~ it's fluffball-therapy. Well, and Gusari (Kizu Natsuki); I do realize (trying to be impartial), that her art might by nothing special, but - I love it. Just looking at it makes me already happy (▰˘◡˘▰)

Added it to my read list. It sounds very strange, but intriguing. And it's okay if others don't see it as "true beauty", as long as it sticks with you and has a strong impact on you then it's great itself, even if it's not pretty. Thanks!

I've heard a lot about Loveless, but never gave it a try. Guess it's time to jump on the band wagon and see what it's about.
And I love you already for pointing out Studio Ghibli. I love all of their movies, and shockingly Howl's Moving Castle was the first movie I saw from Ghibli. It's what hooked me to the rest of the great films. And Grave of the Fireflies gave me puffy eyes after watching it the first, second and even third time.
