I just read chapter 52 and I definitely hate how the teacher dealt with that. I know the point is to teach Helmut to be «human», however he is not fit to be giving lecture as he is (partially) the reason the situation escalated to this point.
«you are deflecting the questions» so are you? A half-assed, one sentence apology won't make up for the fact that two vulnerable students (as they have no noble title/family to protect them) have suffered from an assassination attempt from one of the most dishonorable group comandited by another student under your responsibility whom you knew was hostile towards commoners.
It is true that Asuka usually react to every provocation with violence, but Helmut does not, they both held back and waited until the officials duels. What they did wasn't mindless primal violence or whatever the teacher's trying to pass this off, this was two 15 years olds with no power other than their raw strength, putting an end to the constant threat and harassment in the only way they could.
The teacher is asking them to trust the institution right after telling them that the academy knowingly did not do anything about their harassment.
