I cannot wait to see the next chapter!! My guess MINCHEOL will react hostile for sure towards both ML & FL. This loser will probably act like he was betrayed or something. Only after he realised FL is not taking him back and he is losing her, that's when it hits him hard. Only then he will apologize and beg for FL to come back. I am so looking forward for that to happen.

There are people who are mentally ill and have faced horrors of trauma and do not behave as the ML has. While true, people care capable of such behavior, the author has chosen this route and has purposely decided to frame it within the context of ultimately a romance thus romanticizing by definition his behavior. The fact that this plot is a dime a dozen at this point doesn’t change the fact that stories like this and the defense made for them extend beyond fiction as we routinely see a face card, privilege, wealth, and plain public stupidity allow someone like the ML to behave as they do and still be rewarded, cheered on, and defended. I’m honestly sick of this rape culture and abuse at this point that this genre obsessively loves.
I mean that’s why the MC exists, no? I’m probably taking the story wrong or differently but mc has gone through so much trauma by his father and seo-in’s family and still turned out to be a good person. I saw it as how trauma done by relatives can impact individuals differently. I’m probably thinking too deeply or smth but I get what you’re saying. I hate rape that’s done just to make it and do it in a way that makes it seem “okay”. His rape does seem to be romanticized but imo I think it has a bit of psychology involved. I absolutely hate seo in and his backstory didn’t make me hate him less but I kind of see why people don’t see your point, at least with this manhwa because of his backstory. His past isn’t badly written and contributes to his actions to some extent. The author made a whole season almost dedicated to the past and I sort of viewed it as the abused becoming the abuser?? I mean the manhwa also touches on how a persons position can impact how everyone views them. No one other than those close to seo in know about what he’s done because of his fame and money. I think Haesoo and Mincheol had a registration marriage when they were fresh outta high school or around then, then Mincheol incurs the debt (probably bc he started to slip into arrogance) and he suggests that they get divorced so the debt won't be her legal responsibility to pay back. That's when they start scrounging on their resources and finances and Mincheol starts to hate Haesoo or whatever. This is why he keeps telling Haesoo that they were just strangers on paper and stuff.

I am in the midst of reading this. The worse kind of people are cheater and those who play with people's feelings. This bastard is both. I would also fall for ML too if I am FL. Who wouldn't? Even at the risk of getting hurt I would still do. It's just sad that people change. The husband was once true to FL from what I read in the story. Well, nothing stay the same. My heart hurt for her. I can imagine how hard it can be to let go. She is so brave to move on. Someone new definitely helped to fill some of that gap.
If you guys watch anime, there is a masterpiece named monster. The guy is a monster and his name is Yohan.
I find FL internal thoughts/ feelings are quite realistic in this story. Especially, in ch 46; "A love that seems like it would last forever can end with a cliche affair", "At the end of every love, only filthy, petty wreckage remains. The heart that is futile", "Who will be sincere until the end of this love". Realistic for her situation. Not much different to real life in my opinion. I loved it.
