I wish Annette would scream in Heiner's face that she's not her father... I do not think she has made such remarks yet.
She just apologizes A LOT...
Baby girl needs to let that out of her chest
Her constant apologising is grating but it wouldn't make a difference to Heiner. He doesn't despise her bc of her father , he admits this himself in the novel during his lacklustre "grovel" scene.
His pathetic reason is simply that she reminded him of how broken & empty his life was. His entire world revolved around her but in their first meeting it's apparent to him that Annete has many things in her life to occupy her and it fills him with a feeling of inadequacy that quickly turns into resentment
Do y'all realize Heiner NEVER intended to "punish" Annette's dad for his crimes???
He straight-up shot the man and turned around and blamed Annette for what happened to him.
He always had misplaced hatred towards her, cause I was wondering why they did not capture and torture her dad... But this MF never intended for the man to be blamed.
It was more convenient for him to put Anette on a leash and parade her around the capital as the cause of their woes, Cause she is beautiful and quiet he sought to destroy her and maybe build up her shell for his entertainment..
You....you dream about the princess ....... JAIL
You want her heart...................................JAIL
You think about her...................................JAIL
Your name starts with B............................JAIL
You're freaky with your witch mum............JAIL
You are a prince with white hair.................JAIL
...cause the signs were there from the start. When she woke up in the body of a WEAK noble that should have clued me in the directions they wanted to go...
I guess I hoped she might train and maybe get stronger BUT if you had told me that she would ACTIVELY BLOCK AND PREVENT the death of her killer, I would have scoffed so hard cause that doesn't make sense...
...but here we are, with this drama...
Then I remembered Annette standing on business with Heiner and POOF!! My mood lifted. we love you, girl!!!
