Kinda pissed off at Char, you don't blame a whole kingdom for the sins of the greedy few. If she were to raise a tyrant, she is also to endanger the lives of the common folk - people who had no hand in her misfortune.
I think you just overanalyzed her statement of her destroying the "kingdom"...
Like, her hometown's kingdom is represented by the imperial family and the imperial is the symbol and face of the "kingdom"...
Her dialogues made it clear that she wanted the downfall of the imperial family which is equivalent of the face of the kingdom..
So kingdom=destruction of imperial family... And like outside people, especially commoners are not involved with her rage...
She actually is guilty of punishing/killing innocent people.. That might symbolizes the common people
Good ride. Even though it was open ended, the ending pretty much implies that they're stuck together whether one or the other party likes it or not. Fuku is obviously obsessed with Shou and Shou can't let go (even though he wouldn't admit it himself) of Fuku out of a twisted sense of moral obligation. Just like the red string of fate, their fates are tied together no matter their objections.
It's good actually, toxicity and all. To me it depicts a real-life relationship - and that we can all act holier than thou and say their relationship isn't healthy, but if we're going to be honest we're all fucked up one way or another especially when love's involved. It was great just witnessing their love unfold and if their story goes on and Cole continues to feel inferior or Alex finds out the extent of Cole's cheating and they end up breaking up, well that's life. And I think that's what makes this story so good.
Lmao leave that toxic boi to the streets. Idk why some of you are blaming the FL. Yes, she faked an illness but it was all to avoid a marriage that was being forced upon her. She had her conviction set that this man was meant for someone else and more than anything - she believed he was a psycho. Sure, he's had his sweet moments, but it still made me uncomfortable how he's forcing marriage upon her as if she had no choice in it AND just because he WANTED so, without any regard for the FL. It all crescendos when he got mad and even hurt her in the last chap (21). As a girl, it just scared me thinking if I were in the same position being shouted at and threatened by someone in power. I feel less empathy for the ML knowing I'm more self aware and realize that yeah, holy shit I keep forcing her, of course she'd do that. (Not dropping it though, waiting to see how the redemption arc goes in LINE LMAO)
I'm not saying I'm okay with r@pe but she's a willing victim so I can excuse that...BUT what I cannot excuse is her acting all s0ft and considerate about other people all the while destroying her sister's happiness. Girl out here making the guy do all that to her because she's just 'too kind' and willing to pay for her sins (low key enjoying it tho) but she can't be kind and considerate to her own blood? THE FUCK
