Omg, i regret not reading this earlier..
Does this story have the best flow & progression? NO, but everything can easily be understand and I've seen far worst manhua than this..
Regardless of the story, Kian is one of the best character i've seen recently.. His idiocy, pureness, and straightforwardness are so charming..
Also, I legit teared up in Ch. 66 when he was drunk saying Len has no dad, mother and brother..

This is one of my fav trope in BL but theres just something amiss with this manga.. Maybe bcause it's from Kakeru perepective, so we can deeply relates to Kakeru, but there's nothing likeable about Ryo & Yudai. None of their action worth mentioning. They didnt even defend the Kakeru.
spoiler
what the fuck is Yudai doing kissing Kakeru in the class when at that time he still hasnt have feeling towards Kakeru.. N he didnt even care Kakeru being isolated (with his half hearted attempt to console Kakeru) when its was his fault in the first place.. Fucking hate the ending, at least let him have some redemption scene before putting them together..

Ryo and Yudai are literally the only memorable part of this story. Without them, this would be one of the a dime a dozen one-dimensional shallow romances that defines this genre and you would just flip the pages with your eyes glazed over. Ryo-Yudai friendship and Ryo unilaterally pushing his friendship onto Kakeru and following through even when Kakeru isn't necessarily on his best behaviour at all times are the most wholesome, most heartwarming parts of this manga.
There's no redemption to be had, nobody wronged Kakeru. He was just going through a diva phase, acting immature and feeling sorry for himself for no reason, which is par for the course for given his age and background of social isolation and lack of experience in peer relationships. Ryo-Yudai were just acting like any normal, well meaning individual in their position would and Kakeru was also processing things as best as knew.
I do look poorly on the fact that the drama at the end happens because he resents the place that Ryo holds in Yudai's life and was hoping that his romantic relationship with Yudai would supplant his friendship with Ryo and that is a toxic trait but since he didn't cry and whine too much about it and still maintained healthy boundaries with the two, I can tolerate him. Not my favourite character but not one that I hate, either. A Yaoi uke is being a better person than plenty of "in love" people I know IRL. I can't judge him too harshly. He may have been immature, but he remained respectful and that's certainly magnitudes better than the standard behaviour that is audience approved as normal, even sympathetic for the uke in Yaoi/female lead in shoujo. There were no bad guys here, just mild misunderstandings and overreactions here and there.
I like that they r in middle school which means there a huge probabilities that Shuuto will outgrow Senpai once they r in high school..
