This story started VERY strong & promising, but I found myself waiting for the main "event"!? Like, yes, things happened, but it all was rather ...like a strong but ultimately uneventful stream in the woods, no highs no lows.
No idea, I at least found myself a bit disappointed in the end, bc it had so much more potential :/ bummer.
Wait. 5 years of no Sebastian & Ciel. And just when we finally got them back (bc as interesting as their servants background stories might have been, it all was way too long!!!), they announce a hiatus
Why? Don't know :D that'd be a question for the author.
But it was 5 years ago we last saw Sebastian & Ciel. Yes, they finally came back with the last chapter and will have one more, but the servants carried the manga with their stories for the last 5 years without S&C.
I think that started around Ch. 153 which was published in 2019 - 5 years ago.
Can someone explain to me what happens at the end? What's real and why can he suddenly throw a punch at Eve like that?
It’s an orb from the game that the heroes use to defeat the demon lord by having a need to protect. They were looking for it to protect Eve. But it was sold to the heel guy, (who thought it was a fake), but he’s immense need to protect the beast looking guy gave the orb the power to make the beast stronger and able to match Eve.
I still really enjoy the manga and hope for many more volumes, but it's somewhat odd. Plenty of potential plots get addressed, but never really happen.
The whole thing with Shizuma's boss has been there for ages (at least 3 volumes) but nothing happens. Status quo.
Minato still has a huge problem dealindg with his past with his mother, fearing becoming like her, but it also doesn't really get adressed. WE read his thoughts, but Shizuma only sees he's insecure, but can't grasp the severity of it, bc even in Vol.5 it's again not talked about.
He's amazing in reassuring Minato, but often doesn't really understand why esactly.
It's all rather frustrating.
Them house hunting was interesting, but I absolutely thought this will finally be THE volume, where we get the boss-plot. But nope. And i find myself rushing thru the chapter, bc I've been waiting for that for so long that I can't wait for the next chapter, expecting this'll be finally it.
Btw: The sneak peak of vol.6 makes me yet again think the potential boss-plot will get addressed... with how Minato is dressed xD pleeeease let it be it finally. Some proper plot.
I was feeling exactly the same! It's actually one of my favorite series because I'm obsessed with the characters but it's getting frustrating. I'm hoping that the author is just pushing it until they get better with communication so that when it reaches a climax it will make sense that they're able to work through it properly?
Btw. I really love the manga, but I can't help thinking (esp. since we're in Vol.15 by now) how little this is progressing and how the plot is rather flat to not really existing. Which is odd given the possibilities with one being police and the otehr yakuza.
I really would like to see more of Aki doing yukuza business and lore around Tomoharu navigating all that. Like nothing too bad because I love these babies. I'm going along with the ride because it's so funny rn but yh there is so much potential maybe it's too difficult to do because it's quite a sticky situation. Anyway it's not like is free riders can have a say
Maybe it was more like - you know, the type of TV show that's called a sitcom - where it's pure comedy and has a different story for each episode. It focuses on comedic situations and lighthearted, humorous narratives. Each episode tells a self-contained story, with the characters and setting remaining consistent. Also aimed primarily at providing entertainment through laughter and lighthearted plots.
I think this manga is more inclined towards that kind of media
Sitcoms still have character growth or over arching themes though unless it's a bad one or one like spongebob. That's literally the only one I can think of rn with no character development. Besides I would really still like the points to be explored, each episode in a sitcom has a plot so the plot could be around our suggestions which in turn leads to character growth. Anyhow just simple rants we both still really love this manga and have no real say over anything

Is he fucking serious?!?! Who says "let's end it" to their partner FIRST THING after they had a miscarriage?!?! How insensitive can you possibly be!
And how annoying a storyline can an author possibly write??
He better means something else & we all just misunderstand!
I mean, first mc gets kidnapped because of taeju and then he gets a miscarriage. It’s understandable why he feels so much guilt. He ain’t thinking straight obviously. Mc just needs to have a straight conversation with him
