Kyle was never meant to win, he never stood a chance. Hes so second male lead material in the worse way possible, hes sunshine, soft, wholesome and everything that the FL deserves to have except for the fact that he is powerless against the ML. Not cunning enough AND Leila doesn’t have a romantic connection to kyle whatsoever. It’s sad to see his affection not reciprocated and that is a main factor in why I’m glad he never won.
Idk whether if Leila will fall for him one day if the duke did not exist and everything went smoothly but I think it’s for the best he finds someone who loves him back romantically at least. Leila has mix feelings for the ML but it’s obvious she’s physically attracted to him even with all the resentment deep down (currently). Idk what happens more later but yea all I know is kyle was never winning sadly LOL
