Just finished the last chapter while listening to a random playlist and somehow the timing matched the story so well. Right after Marin and the villain died, it felt like all the bad things ended there. The song that played was so youthful and full of hope, and it really added to the feeling when all her friends were able to meet and gather again. Then, as the story moved to the part where she visited his past and they hugged at the end, a comforting song started playing. The whole experience felt even more emotional because of how perfectly the music aligned with the scenes. Truly beautiful story, I cried a few times (▰˘◡˘▰)
I recently read Absolute Regression and found the father-and-son relationship cute. I also just read Chronicles of the Demon Faction, and while they're not father and son but master and disicple, their bond has a similar charm that I really enjoyed. Could anyone recommend other manga with relationships like these?
The main character (MC) finds themselves trapped in a deadly game with a group of people, where a murderer relentlessly hunts them down. Every time they are all killed, the game resets, always starting with them in a van on the way to their accommodation. However, the MC retains memories of previous game rounds. To ensure these memories persist after each death, the MC must insert a cassette into a radio at some point when new scene appear to save the memories.
Throughout numerous game cycles, the MC tries different strategies to outsmart and outlive the murderer, aiming to achieve a game over. However, an unexpected twist occurs when another guy in the group member begins retaining their memories as well, unknowingly using the same cassette method. This guy, cold-blooded and unafraid to kill, decides to assist the MC in their quest to beat the game.
The MC is familiar with horror movie clichés that trigger the killer's appearance, such as heated arguments and someone storming out of the house, or people making out or having a sex. Using this knowledge, the MC and the guy devise plans to lure the killer out, intending to turn the tables and kill the killer.
As they plan and execute these traps, the guy frequently pushes for sexual encounters with the MC, driven by personal desires rather than the goal of summoning the killer.
Despite these distractions, they continue to face the murderer, dying and restarting the game repeatedly and this still on going the last time I read it.
Please help if anyone know the title.
