I bought the two volumes on cmoa.jp because I’ve been curious about this work for a while and I only understood like 60% of the content so I was super happy to see this! I’ve been following the author on twitter for a while, the author draws josei but occasionally draws mlm so there’s hope that this might develop beyond Oto-san’s imagination. (Ps: this is common sense but please don’t share any scans on social media or interact with the author in English....)
As for volume 2... you guys.. no spoilers but if you think volume 1 was wholesome you’ll die from what’s coming up!!!

Ahn is the cutest, most relatable, most realistic, wholesome mc out here I caaaaaaannntttttt with him I swear !!!!! A huge part of why On or Off is a fav of mine is because of how genuinely I adore Ahn and how much I’m rooting for him !!!!
Rereading this, and putting the unique concept of nail polish aside, I realized how this manga has one of the most considerate, mature and honest semes out there. His first request was to “hold his hand”!!! he constantly asks him if he’s ok before doing anything and he’s super honest about his feelings and thoughts! This is underrated I hope more people read this and appreciate how lovely their connection is.
you know what I loved about this manga (besides the obvious) is how they have conversations after sex. The two times they slept together they stayed awake or napped and then woke up to communicate and connect and I loved that! very rare in BL in my opinion!
